Brazil nuts are an excellent source of selenium – an important antioxidant that can protect from the harmful effects of free radicals.
We source the best, truly raw, certified organic Brazil nuts, which we long-soak in a saline solution of filtered water and Mountain Spring Salt. This activation process minimises or eliminates enzyme inhibitors, phytates (phytic acid), polyphenols (tannins), and goitrogens (all of which were added by Mother Nature to prevent the precious seeds being eaten and digested). Our gentle drying process (at temperatures below 47ºC) ensures the nuts remain in their nutritious, raw state.
