Cacao and tahini is definitely one of those perfect food duos. This chocolatey bowl makes for a perfect breakfast treat, satisfying your sweet cravings whilst giving you a healthy energy boost at the start of your day!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup organic oats
- 1 organic banana
- 2 tsp organic cacao powder
- 1 cup organic plant milk
- 1 tbsp Activated Organic Tahini
- 1 tsp liquid sweetener of choice (I used agave)
- Toppings: Extra tahini and Activated Organic Hazelnuts
Method:
- Heat the oats and plant milk in a pan on a medium/low heat, stirring all the time
- Slice the banana in half and mash one half of it
- Add the mashed banana, tahini, cacao and sweetener to the pan (also adding more liquid if needed)
- Slice the other half of the banana, coat it with cinnamon and a little sweetener and microwave for 30 seconds
- Once the oats are cooked, serve in a bowl with the caramelised banana, an extra drizzle of tahini and a small handful of hazelnuts
